Free mode and USDC mode - how they work

ScorePlay has two game modes: Free Mode and USDC Mode.
Free Mode
What It Is
Free Mode is available to everyone worldwide (except sanctioned countries). You vote on match outcomes without any money or cryptocurrency required.
Characteristics
- Cost: Free - no money required
- Availability: Globally available (except sanctioned countries)
- Cryptocurrency: Not required
- Wallet: Not required
- ScorePoints: Earns SP from predictions (entry + correct settlements)—see Points and leaderboard
- Leaderboard: Full participation in rankings
How It Works
- Log in with Google or connect your wallet
- Browse upcoming matches
- Vote on match outcomes
- Earn ScorePoints per pick rules above
- Compete on leaderboards
USDC Mode
What It Is
USDC Mode is only available in some countries. You vote on match outcomes using USDC.
Characteristics
- Token: USDC (stablecoin)
- Networks: Sophon, Avalanche (mainnet)
- Availability: Only available in some countries
- Wallet: Required
- ScorePoints: Same pick-based SP as Free Mode plus SP from open PnL and profit on USDC positions where implemented (Points and leaderboard)
- Leaderboard: Full participation (rank by total SP)
How It Works
- Connect your wallet
- Ensure you're in a region where USDC Mode is available
- Add USDC to your wallet
- Vote on match outcomes using USDC where you choose
- Earn ScorePoints from picks and from position rules above
- Compete on leaderboards

What's the Same
Both modes use:
- The same prediction choices and settlement
- The same pick-based SP table for outcomes
- The same leaderboard views (ordering by total SP)
- The same match selection and probabilities
USDC Mode adds optional stakes, stablecoin payouts, and additional SP lines on those flows where the product implements them.

- USDC participation: Requires supported blockchain networks
- Mode selection: Stored in localStorage
- URL parameters: Can override stored preference
