ScorePoints & Leaderboard
How ScorePoints (SP) are earned from accuracy, leaderboard rankings, and prizes
ScorePoints (SP) are earned from accurate predictions and determine your position on the leaderboard. SP reflects your football knowledge, accuracy, and consistency—not your capital.
How to Earn ScorePoints
SP is earned through voting and USDC positions. The more accurate your predictions, the more SP you earn.
SP from Voting (Offchain)
- 1 SP per vote - Earned immediately when you place a vote (offchain)
- No capital required - Free voting earns SP based on your predictions
- Accuracy matters - Correct votes are rewarded, but voting itself earns 1 SP immediately
SP from USDC Positions
If you participate with USDC (where permitted by law):
- 1 SP per $1 staked - Earned when you create a position
- 100 SP per $1 profit - Earned if your prediction is correct (when you win)
- Example: Stake $10, win $15 profit → Earn 10 SP (stake) + 1500 SP (profit × 100) = 1510 SP total
Bonus: Vote + USDC Position
If you have both an offchain vote AND a USDC position:
- 1 SP from the vote (earned immediately)
- 100 SP bonus for having both
- (Profit + 100) SP if you win (instead of profit × 100)
- Example: Vote + $0.38 stake, $0.71 profit → Earn 1 SP (vote) + 100 SP (bonus) + 171 SP (if win) = 272 SP total
Important: A player with low or no USDC can still rank highly through accurate voting. SP reflects knowledge and participation, not just capital.
Optional USDC Participation
If you choose to participate with USDC (where permitted by law), USDC can multiply the rewards you earn from correct votes. However:
- USDC does not affect SP calculation - SP is still earned from accuracy
- USDC only multiplies rewards - It amplifies rewards, not outcomes
- Leaderboard ranking unchanged - Rankings are based on SP, not USDC amount
- Knowledge still matters most - Accuracy and consistency determine your position
Example
- Player A: Votes correctly 80% of the time, no USDC → High SP, high ranking
- Player B: Votes correctly 40% of the time, large USDC → Lower SP, lower ranking
The leaderboard reflects knowledge and accuracy, not wealth.

Key Principles
- Knowledge over capital - SP reflects accuracy, not wealth
- Consistency matters - Regular accurate voting builds SP
- Accuracy is rewarded - Correct votes earn the most SP
- USDC is optional - It multiplies rewards but doesn't change rankings
- Fair competition - Everyone competes on equal footing based on knowledge
